Of coolness and smoothness...

...and You're raising these twenty four voices, with twenty four hearts...and all of my symphonies, in twenty four parts...and I'm not who I thought I was, twenty four hours ago, still I'm singing Spirit take me up in arms with You...

He speaks with silence...
His words if any, causes silence...
He goes: "sweet..."
He's cool...too cool...
He's recro...
He's an honoured bro...
He's Edmund Ho...

...*silence*...

...a mentor that he is...in many things...

Happy 24th birthday, dude. You da man. Thanks for all your teachings and guidance as an ex-cg leader and advisor in NOC IV. You are a blessing to many of us. Utter respect. *kow tow*.

The other one turns 20...
Pals since kindergarten...
Articulate, wise, intelligent bum...
Debater, public speaker, tokoh murid and ketua pengawas...
Part of the 'boyband' (with Jason)...
R.O. freak...
Somewhere in Melbourne shaking legs enjoying life...

...smooth eh?...

...farewell before leaving for the land down under...

Matthew Keith Chan Wai Kei, Happy Birthday! Stop R.O.-ing and come back more often...reminiscing the futsal, Winning Eleven and makan times together. Miss ya, bro. The Lord be with ya.

Many of you guys are celebrating your birthdays on these months = it is a good month. A month when He brought most of my friends into people's lives, haha...sounds lame. Well, things are slowly moving for me these couple o' days. The silence before the storm I guess. If only the same goes with my mind. Too many things going around all jumbled up like rojak...finding peace with my inner self.

A toast, to Ed and Matt. Cheers.

This half moon, somewhat bright...

Edelweiss, Edelweiss...every morning you greet me...small and white...clean and bright, you look happy to meet me...

This half moon, somewhat bright...
As though smiling upon the world in blight...
How so that u shine radiantly on the darkened world that befalls you?

This half moon, somewhat bright...
Through cricket chirps and the grass’ waltz...
You smirk down with light.

This half moon somewhat bright...
That you befall your grin among the constellations...
As if to complete the clouds in the dusk sky.

This half moon somewhat bright...
Like a sarcastic implore and plight...
Asking for a way and with sight.

This half moon, somewhat bright...
Like staining the black night with white...
Giving vision while the pain subsides inside.
This lonely smile in a black void hide...
This half moon, somewhat bright.

Better late then never...

I need to find my way back home...back to the place, the wonderful days...living the life I used to know, where every smile was born out of a love and of sincerity...and every tear of everflowing joy...

...2 kayus...

2 days ago(18th of April)...2 funny fellas celebrated their birthday...on the same day...
The differences? One turns 22, another 20...ones here in Melaka, the other somewhere in Cyberjaya...one is a budak Melaka, another budak Klang (hidup Klang!) One turns 22, the other 20. However, both are friggin' tall, and both kinda 'kayu'...haha.

Disdainful pulchritude...at its best...

Give me understanding, according to Your word, revive me according to Your loving kindness, that I may seek Your word...

such irony...
gone numb...
how can this be?
that You endured more than I could ever...
such as love, sorrow and malice meet...
to gaze disdain undertones...
when the threshold breaks and fury wakes...
ever so I am grateful for every breathe, every blessing, every friend, every soul met...
You know better than I...You know the way...
I deserve nothing...nothing...that You would die for me...
deliver me O'Lord...for You know my affliction...
with knowing that I'll look back and praise Your name...
for unconditional and unjudging love...mirrored otherwise...
who am I fooling?
ignorance is bliss after all...heh...
to seek You endlessly...
but I still believe, in Your faithfulness, You...above all...

Cheers.

Leaning on...

You make eveything good, everything wonderful. You grace my days...You make me see the only thing that's true, it's You...

Oh, every year hath its winter,
And every year hath its rain-
But a day is always coming
When the birds go north again.

When new leaves swell in the forest
And grass springs green on the plain,

And alders' veins turn crimson--

And the birds go north again.

Oh, every heart hath its sorrow,
And every heart hath its pain--

But a day is always coming

When the birds go north again.

Tis the sweetest thing to remember,
If courage be on the wane,

When the cold, dark days are over--

Why, the birds go north again.

Farewell...and goodbye...

I will remember you, will you remember me? Don't let your love pass you by...weep not for the memories...

A tribute...to the two wonderful people in my life...

This lil' brat ain't all innocent, needed 'proper supervision' while his parents were off to work...
That's when they came in, being a babysitter she was and as for him, doing his brother a favour...
What a handful this bouncy child was, itchy handed, always hungry and couldn't seem to sit still....
The child spent half of his childhood life there, going home only on weekends...
Eventually he came to have another pair of parents, Papa and Mama, apart from Daddy and Mommy.
She makes the best mee siam and meatball porridge...
He makes the best fish porridge and dry beehoon, see the funny connection?
She used to wake the kid up at 6 for school, bathed him, cooked maggi for him, brought him to pasar malam, and scolded him for doing the silly things kids always do...
He always spoiled the kid with extra pocket money, take him for bike rides, taught the kid to make iced sugarcane and always forced the brat to take afternoon naps...
Eventually the kid grew up to be a teenager, ready to take on the world...
She stopped becoming the kid's babysitter, likewise for her husband, who worked at the port...
At one point the boy grew to find out that she got sick, vague on details...
She soon got better, he continued to visit her back at the place where he grew up...
But then...she had to go...her sickness came back...he was 15...
He didn't get to say goodbye...
Her husband, suffered a stroke attack some time before she left...
And last sunrise, had another...he left too...the boy wasn't there...
Neither one left the boy a goodbye...

To the two that made my childhood days. To the two that loved me as their own. To the two that helped made me the person I am now. To the best uncle and aunt there is to me. To Pa, and Ma. Cheers...you'll be deeply missed.

Of lilies and roses...

You are too beautiful, and I am a fool for beauty...you are too beautiful, for one man alone, one lucky fool to be with...

I saw an angel the other day,
With such a beauty, she made my legs sway,
I set before her flowers, hoped she will not put it at lay,
How'd it'd even compared to her, no one can say.

Wonders of wonders,
That I had her to dance,
With fears in the future;
I might not have a ghost of a chance.

Though night as sure will descend,
Pillars in time break or bend;

This memory spent with an angel,
Shall never ever know end...

To my prom date, Renee. I couldn't thank you enough.
Thanks for the nice scarlet corsage, and maroon handkerchief.
Glad that you had fun.
We all did.

And here's a toast, to the perfect date. Cheers.
