Addictmusicbenedict

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend. Somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life...

Been listening to lotsa new tunes these days, gotta say that I'm hooked. Albums of the moment:

Relient K - Five Score and Five Years Ago
Christian rock at its best. This is the band's 5th album and the quality of their music and lyrics have yet to dissappoint. Check out the song Crayons Can Melt on Us for All I Care, their shortest song to date: 10 seconds. Haha.

"I've...just wasted...ten seconds of your lives"

James Morrison - Undiscovered
This English singer/songwriter is a genius. His raspy voice due to a whooping cough as a toddler smoothens his guitar driven numbers, chillout. Big female fanbase 'cos of the voice. Elaine also suka.

"The pieces don't fit anymore"

Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High
Pure Powerpop Punk goodness. Highly addictive tunes, but lyrics yang super tak kena. Its being looped again and again in Styne's car, and in my head as well. 'Nuff said?

"Say a prayer, but let the good times roll. In case God doesn't show"

Once I get addicted to a certain list of songs, thats it man. Julian's ear goes numb. Haha. There's at least one song from each album in my Imeem playlist at the sidebar, check it out when y'all have time, or bandwith for that matter.

On the other note, it was Justin and Aaron's birthday on the 18th. Justin got kidnapped ala mafia style with blinds and hands tied up, taken for a joy ride, and finally pelted with flour, water, eggs, experienced the traditional wedgie and also the new infamous cakeinthebuttcracks finishing move.

...the hunt, the trophy, the birthday boy...

Snippets:

Joash: *fake voice* Put him down, put him down.
Justin: *blindfolded* Shadapla Joash.

Lucius: *while being dragged to the 'puddle of death'* Eh guys, don't la. Gun, gun, gun, gun.
Guys: Wha-?

Edmund: *struggling mightily hard while being dragged to the 'puddle of death'* Ugh!! Ugh!! Ugh!!

Justin: Eh, the eggs just now pain la.
VJ: Wayne la, he threw them directly.
Kok Pin: Eh, here got somemore eggs what?
Justin: Really? Where? *looks for the eggs*
Guys: Eh, why you tell that fella? *scrams*

Justin: *while cleaning himself with water* Lower, lower.
Lucius: *washing Justin's back*

Hahahaha, birthday bashes are getting worse by the years. Cheers to the tall baba, and the fellow Klangite who managed to avoid all this, being in Cyberjaya and all. Happy Birthday! Double toasts to y'all.

Transform-...er...

I've got the gift of one liners, and you've got the curse of curves...

Just fer laughs, since there's all the hype of Transformers hitting the cinemas soon. I'd hate to be Sam Whitwicky when Bumblebee decides to transform while I'm taking him out for a spin.

Sticking it to the man!

Switchfoot - Easier Than Love

Sex is currency

She sells cars,
She sells magazines
Addictive bittersweet, clap your hands,
with the hopeless nicotines

Everyone's a lost romantic,
Since our love became a kissing show
Everyone's a Casanova,
Come and pass me the mistletoe

Everyone's been scared to death of dying here alone

She is easier than love
Is easier than life
It's easier to fake and smile and bribe

It's easier to leave
It's easier to lie
It's harder to face ourselves at night
Feeling alone,
What have we done?
What is the monster we've become?

Where is my soul?

Numb

Sex is industry,
The CEO, of corporate policy
Skin-deep ministry,
Suburban youth, hail your so-called liberty

Every advertising antic,
Our banner waves with a neon glow
War and love become pedantic,
We wage love with a mistletoe

Everyone's been scared to death of dying here alone

Sex is easier than love,
It's easier than love,
It's easier to fake and smile and brag

Where is my soul?
Where is my soul?

Numb

"Another song inspired by irony or paradox or perhaps sheer confusion. How is it that one of the most meaningful, intimate moments in a human's life is now used to sell beverages or magazines or auto parts? And indeed, sex sells. It's no wonder that sex is easier than love, because love is extremely difficult, almost impossible at times." - Jonathan Foreman, of Switchfoot
